Hi, I'm Karen and I work in Plymouth as a receptionist and I also do some work in the finance department. I consider myself very fortunate because I really enjoy my job and I've had great experiences with my employers in the past. I think it's because I treat people with respect and kindness, so I get that back in return.
What I love about my job is the people and the flexibility. I work with a great team and my boss is amazing. I feel like I could work for 12 hours and it still wouldn't feel like work.
When it comes to hiring, I believe that qualifications aren't everything. It's more about the person's skillset, personality and work ethic. If someone has a good work ethic, they can be trained in different areas, so it's important to find someone who fits in well with the team.
