Siobhan, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager at Plymouth Argyle Football Club, believes creating a more inclusive workplace is about recognising the value of different perspectives. She underlines the importance of including a variety of voices and lived experiences, which strengthens an organisation.
Siobhan sets out the work of Plymouth Argyle Football Club and its charity Argyle Community Trust, in creating a welcoming environment for everyone. They consult with various fan groups to understand their needs and incorporate that feedback into their development.
She acknowledges that people may be nervous about inclusion for fear of saying the wrong thing. However, she stresses that education is key, and a proactive approach to learning is essential.
