Ambassadors for The Plymouth Charter | Register for Interest

Updated: Jun 27, 2022

This event seeks to establish a network of people to advocate for inclusive growth activity across the city.

What is the ambassador role?

We are looking for the support of prominent and active supporters of Plymouth’s ambition to grow a prosperous economy that reduces inequality, is sustainable and truly serves the wellbeing of local people. Improving prosperity, as well as health and well-being, across all parts of the Plymouth community will in turn improve the economic growth of the city. Addressing and finding solutions to the challenges through re-thinking business practices is key to making that positive change happen.

Your help in driving this ambition forwards is critical to enabling a wider-reaching shift in behaviours and culture to achieve long-term inclusive growth for the city.

How can I help?

Following the Inclusive Plymouth 2040 event, we are relaunching the Charter to pick up feedback from the event and to encourage more organisations to sign up. As an existing signatory, your hands-on knowledge and experience makes you a powerful advocate for putting the principles of an inclusive growth approach into practice and the subsequent business benefits.

In the first instance, we would like your help with increasing awareness of inclusive growth and what it means for Plymouth. You can do this through active conversations with the people in your networks – being able to talk about the tangible benefits for both businesses and communities in the city will be key to these discussions. Using your social media channels will help us to reach as many people as possible, along with other forums such as newsletters, blogs and podcasts.

How can I get in touch?

We hope very much that you will take on the ambassador role. Your knowledge and experience is invaluable not only for raising awareness of the Charter itself, but also for advocating the benefits of making Plymouth a more inclusive and prosperous city that will benefit everyone.
