Our free 3 half-day Bid Skills Training Course spread around 3 weeks on the 6th, 13th and 20th July led by Freelance Bid Writing Expert Naomi Fox-Smith.

The course is designed to share the tendering tips, tricks and techniques and help people win more bids. The course aims to improve bid confidence, so you feel secure in bidding for the contracts your organisation really wants to win.

The training is most relevant for people who have been given bid writing responsibilities as part of a wider role, and who may describe themselves as having basic to intermediate bid knowledge and experience.

Please note: Attendance to all three sessions are mandatory to enable Naomi to provide focused advice throughout the course so please register for all three dates. The 3 half-day, three week course will cover: Week 1:

  • Overview of the course

  • Finding Contracts and/or Funding

  • Bid Strategy

Week 2

  • Bid Writing

  • Imagery/Auxiliary Info

  • Bid troubleshooting

Week 3

  • Finalisation and submitting

  • Managing bid content

  • Following up and feedback

Weeks 1 and 2 will involve practical and self learning at the end of each sessions as well as a Q&A Forum at the end of the Week 3 session. Naomi Fox-Smith is an experienced and successful freelance Bid Writer, winning millions of pounds of contracts and tens of thousands of pounds of grant funding through her mastery of the art of bid writing.


By learning the language of procurement and uncovering the secrets of writing, structuring and presenting information and know how to improve the impact on bid evaluators.


Her responses to the qualitative sections of submissions get high scores (often full marks) and she get sensational feedback from clients and contracting authorities.


Prior to being a Bid Writer, she held senior marketing and branding roles, honing skills to promote and position my clients in the best way possible.


She currently undertake bid writing and bid consultancy for a small number of clients, helping them win contracts across the UK and internationally.
