PCC’s Information and advice for businesses Some information put together by Plymouth City Council offering advice to businesses Information and advice for businesses- PCC Future Plymouth 2030 A series of webinars that explore the pathways to low carbon and sustainable development in Plymouth which are led by Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in partnership with Stride Treglown Architects, the University’s Sustainable Earth Institute, Low Carbon Devon and Plymouth City Council. Future webinars include exploring the action happening locally to adapt infrastructure to climate risk, retrofitting buildings and nature-based solutions. Future Plymouth 2030 - University of Plymouth Low Carbon Devon A project run by the Sustainability Hub at The University of Plymouth to support SMEs across Devon shift to a low-carbon economy. Offering events, and linking businesses with expertise held by those within the University. Sustainability Hub: Low Carbon Devon - University of Plymouth Devon Climate Emergency The Devon Climate Emergency project is raising awareness and encouraging everyone to act. Setting out a plan for Devon’s response to the climate emergency as well as providing useful resources on how to take action. Devon Climate Emergency Heart of the South West Growth Hub Provides a list of the business support programmes available to businesses in the South West, including environmental support, as well as providing reports, guides, factsheets and resources for businesses. Business support programmes Archive - Growth Hub (heartofswgrowthhub.co.uk) City Change Fund The City Change Fund is about supporting local projects for local people. It's a pioneering project in which the Council has chosen to distribute some of the City's Community Infrastructure Levy money to support local projects through a partnership with Crowdfunder. For projects which are making a significant contribution to Plymouth's efforts to respond to climate change, an additional pledge may be made by the Council in the form of a new 'Climate Emergency Bonus'. This means if your organisation is planning a project that further Plymouth response to the climate emergency, you may be eligible to additional funding. Crowdfund Plymouth | Crowdfunder UK Carbon trust The Carbon Trust have a large number of free resources that help to explain the process of calculating carbon emissions, outline the process of reporting emissions and explain how to develop plans to reduce emissions. Resources | The Carbon Trust The SME Climate Hub The SME Climate Hub highlights a number of resources that are available to support the reporting and reduction of carbon emissions. Their business playbook also contains lots of useful information around carbon monitoring and reduction. Additionally, further resources are made available if you commit to their pledge of achieving net zero by 2050.
